A nation is stunned by the loss of so many lives,

Amid all the rubble and earth, a family cries,

"Where are You, Lord, in all of this pain?"

Please show them Lord that You are there in the midst of the storm.

When our towers tumble down, and our lives seem upside down,

We can call on Your name and renew our lives again!

A nation of God long ago is bound up in chains,

They wait for Messiah to come and establish His reign.

"Where are You, Lord," they asked of Your son.

They did not know that You were there as a guide and a Friend.

When You hung on the cross, and they mocked and scorned Your loss,

Even then You forgave and poured out Your loving grace!

Help us Lord, to know Your peace that passes understanding.

Teach us Lord, to trust and see that only You are Lord and King!

It is well with my soul all because You've made me whole!

By Your blood sacrifice You have saved me from the grave!

And when our world tumbles down, we can trust Your holy plan

That You made from the start, pouring out Your loving grace!
